Founded in 2005, MyBike Online first began operations in Boston, MA. President and Founder LeRoy J. Watkins III, started MyBike Online as a college bike rental company with a 10 bike fleet. As word spread about MyBike's unique rental concept, the company grew.
Today MyBike Online boosts a bike fleet of hundreds, rents bikes by the month to the residents of Greater Boston, and offers revolutionary city-wide bike repair services including a popular monthly repair membership program. MyBike Online is also the nation's largest EG Bike retailer, selling EG's electric and traditional mountain bikes.

LeRoy is the passionate, outgoing, workaholic entrepreneur who started MyBike Online. Always on the go, LeRoy is constantly working to improve the customers experience with MyBike Online. When he steps away from the world of bikes, LeRoy can be found watching English Premiership Soccer (he contemplated closing the office during the 2010 World Cup… we talked him out of it), watching his beloved Yankees, walking his dog, or enjoying his wife and son's company.
Steve Mahoney Business Manager | steve@mybikeonline.com | 617-202-9720
Steve runs the day to day operations of MyBike Online. He is also a tireless workaholic who puts the customers best interest first. If you order a bike rental or call our main number, chances are that you will talk to Steve. In the winter Steve runs a very popular delivery Christmas tree company called City Trees. Steve is a University of New Hampshire graduate who enjoys biking and playing soccer. His favorite electric bike is the EG Milan (he insisted this be in his profile).

The Brief History of MyBike Online
2005: we started out as an college bike rental
company with a fleet of 10 bikes. We only served
Northeastern University and only rented bikes with
advertising, but as students began to hear about
our service our concept grew.
2006: we began servicing every major college in
Boston & Cambridge, grew our fleet to 75 bikes,
and offered discounts to our advertising partners.
Our founder was featured in Business Week’s Top
25 Entrepreneurs Under 25, while the company
was featured in the Globe, Chronicle, and MyTV.
2007: we started selling electric bikes. A very cool
decision because electric bikes are pure enjoyment.
2008: we entered into an exclusive partnership
with EG Bike for our rental and electric bikes.
2009: we kicked off our Concierge
Service.
2010: we moved our operations to the Distillery
in South Boston, painted our shop neon orange,
and expanded our Concierge
Service to cover the Boston metro area.
2011: we created this brief history so
you can learn more about us. Try us out so we can learn more about you. |
